Artist Jean Douve stakes each work of art on his first stroke of color, allowing color and shape to flow in response. Using wet-on-wet technique, Douve layers swaths of purple, sage, orange, gray and green watercolor that dissolve and reassemble in swirling clouds of translucent color. Offset lithograph is presented in single crisp white mat and framed in Monterey pinewood frame finished in black.
